  • 'My Black Mental Health' Docuseries

    ‘My Black Mental Health’ is a short docuseries that aims to de-stigmatize mental health care within Montreal’s Black community. The docuseries features Black Montrealers opening up about their experience with mental health, barriers that they have encountered seeking mental health care, and what they hope the future of mental health care will look like for Black folks.

  • Summer 2021 Research

    Our summer 2021 research examined the mental health care history of Black Canadians and the barriers to accessing mental health care. To ensure that the needs of everyone in the Black community of Tio’Tia:ke Montreal are upheld, the Black Healing Centre’s team also conducted research to help them come up with a common understanding of what a safer physical healing space looks and feels like for people who have been historically marginalized.
